Gain an advanced Lean education in a hands-on learning environment

Go to our Events page to see available dates and locations.

"Go and see" is a fundamental Lean principle based on the belief that the most effective way to understand something is to experience it. And that’s exactly what our Study Trips are designed to do.

As a participant on one of our trips, you’ll get an up-close look at the day-to-day operations of organizations that have successfully implemented a Lean management system and made a commitment to continuous improvement.

But you’ll do more than just look—you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage directly with company leaders and front-line employees, watching their Lean practice in action and asking as many questions as you like. From the tools they use to the way they collaborate to solve problems, you’ll experience the reality of a Lean culture in a way that can’t be explained in books or brochures.

What to expect

The curriculum is led by experienced Simpler Master Coaches as well as a senior Lean leaders from the host site. Using a combination of pre-trip study materials, site tours, onsite discussion and group activities, we deconstruct the organizations’ journey to find out:

  • How was the Lean culture implemented?
  • What challenges were encountered, and how were they overcome?
  • What systems and tools are being used?
  • How can I use this information to develop an action plan for my organization’s long-term improvement strategy?

Host sites and curricula can be customized to fit your specific needs and goals. Contact us at 844-260-7839.
